Tomorrow, April 25, the Senate version of House Bill 3 will be released and heard in the Senate Education Committee. Though it has not been released, it is expected that the G/T allotment will be repealed in the revised Senate version.

HB3 Update: Senate Ed Cmte Removes HB3 Hearing from Agenda

This morning the Senate Public Education Committee unexpectedly removed the hearing of HB3 from the scheduled agenda. At this time it is unclear when this hearing will take place, but we will notify you as more information becomes available. 

House Bill 3 in Senate Ed Committee: Call to Action

Public testimony on HB3 in the Senate Education Committee will occur Tuesday, April 16, in Austin beginning at 9:00 am. We need you, G/T advocates, to consider testifying on behalf of the G/T allotment.

On Wednesday, April 3, The Texas House of Representatives will consider and vote on House Bill 3. Yesterday evening, more than 90 amendments were filed for this bill, including 5 amendments related to gifted and talented programs
