TAGT Excited to Announce New Staff Leadership & Management Model
A familiar face is returning to the TAGT family. In May, the TAGT Board selected Strategic Association Management (SAM) to provide operational and strategic support and guidance for the association as it continues to grow. With this selection, the board announced the appointment of SAM Account Director Paulina van Eeden Hill, CAE, as TAGT's new Executive Director.
As Executive Director, Paulina will provide strategic leadership to the association and the TAGT dedicated staff team. Paulina is an experienced association executive with more than 10 years' experience in leading Texas education associations. She previously served as the TAGT Deputy Executive Director, leading professional development activities, events, business development, and governance.
“It is an honor to return to the TAGT family to support our mission during this exciting time in TAGT's history,” Paulina noted. “I look forward to reconnecting with our inspiring, passionate members, volunteers, and supporters as we continue to advocate for all gifted students in Texas.”
Her experience also includes work at the Texas Association of School Boards, Texas PTA, and the Texas Association for School Nutrition.
Based in Austin, SAM is an established association management company and provides a dedicated team of experienced professionals who will manage TAGT's day-to-day operations so its leaders can continue to move the organization's mission forward. Under this new model, TAGT will experience increased resources and support while remaining an independent organization that continues to connect and empower educators and parents to meet the unique needs of gifted individuals.
As TAGT Board President D'Lana Barbay said, “There is no better time to embrace the possibilities and look to the future than this important milestone in TAGT's history. The TAGT Board is confident that with the support of TAGT's new management team and Paulina's leadership, TAGT will continue to grow and identify novel strategies to accommodate the needs of our membership.”
The TAGT board and Paulina encourage members to reach out with any questions or concerns they might have about this exciting transition and moment in TAGT's history. Paulina can be reached at email@example.com or 512-499-8428.
