Evan Hsiang is the graduating valedictorian of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He is a National Merit Finalist. He holds the second-highest score in Academic Decathlon's 53-year history (9,701.7). He is a three-time National Qualifier for the National Speech and Debate Association National Tournament. He loves playing piano, watching foreign films, and building Legos.  Evan plans to study Chemical and Physical Biology at Harvard University to prepare for a career in academic medicine. He hopes to combine his interest in teaching the next generation of physicians with research by addressing the medical needs of South Texas.

A graduating senior from Socorro ISD's Mission Early College High School, Martin Quintana has been working towards his goals since he was 12 years old.  To save for his college education, he started picking pecans and slowly became a part-time yard and construction worker. At a young age he noticed his aptitude in math and science and became interested in Physics (more specifically quantum mechanics). Martin will attend University of Texas at El Paso in the fall and hopes to one day gain a PhD and do research in the field of quantum mechanics. Martin's goal is to help the world understand exactly how the universe works, and through that, aid in the advancement of society.
