Building Your Gifted Toolbox: Proven Strategies for Challenging Your Gifted Students
You have been assigned a group of gifted children to teach. In your pre-service and/or teacher training you cannot recall learning any strategies for working with this specific group of students. What does that look like? How will their needs be met? How on earth are you going to challenge them? Join author Todd Stanley for an in-depth, six-part book study on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 starting September 21. Participants will take part in synchronous online learning as they explore various strategies to consider with their G/T students. This will culminate at an in-person debriefing/reflection to be held at the fall giftED22 conference November 30-December 2 in Houston. Throughout the study, participants will be exposed to many different strategies and given time to figure out which ones would work best, as well as how to find resources to use them. Participants will leave each session with a specific plan in place so that they can start using the tool in their classrooms tomorrow, along with reflections and suggestions on how they can collaborate with others to implement the strategies across their schools and districts.
This program is ideal for K-12 G/T specialists and any other teachers who work with gifted students. Limited to 30 participants.
On or Before August 31 - $299 members/$399 nonmembers
