Monday, April 15
8:00 - 9:15 a.m.

You asked, we listened: We're putting your requests into action with the creation of a dedicated session at Leadership Conference for this year’s Legislative and TEA Updates.
The 86th Legislative Session is in session and with the introduction of HB3, TAGT advocates have been busy! Come find out more about what’s next for HB3 and the G/T allotment from TAGT Policy Consultant Marty DeLeon. Then, TEA’s Monica Brewer will share her annual update for participants on what is new in state services and requirements regarding gifted/talented education and advanced academics, plus a closer look at changes to the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students. We’ll finish out each presentation with a brief time for Q&A with the speakers.
